FIRST BORN DAUGHTER

For thirteen years, Cristina filmed the process of unpacking the events that led to the destruction of her autonomy. She is the third generation of women in her matrilineal line who have been silent victims of childhood sexual abuse.

How can she transform the patriarchal curse into a blessing?

The healing process takes place through the act of shooting a film—a nonexistent film, a film that was never completed as originally conceived, but which served as a means for an intergenerational exorcism.

The abstract world of lucid dreams will guide the protagonists as they reclaim their powers back.

Cristina makes peace with the process of seeing this film, her first born daughter, through to completion.
